Just thought I would update our blog with the family pictures we had taken in October of 2011. I am going to try and update more regularly but ever since our little Kameryn (she's now one) has joined the family it's been a little crazy busy around here!!

Well since last soccer season was a complete waste because it was pretty unorganized and Maddie just wasn't in to it we decided to try a different league, and well pretty much same disorganization, maybe worse actually, but Maddie is much more competitive this time around. Her poor "coach" I don't think has ever played and probably never even watched a soccer game before. It makes for some interesting games when we're doing throw-in's on the goal line in place of goal kicks and corner kicks...I try to get over it because I refused to volunteer myself because one I'm very pregnant at the moment and two I wanted Maddie to have a coach other then myself or Seth so she would be more likely to listen. Well, Seth has stepped up and usually asks the "coach" if she wants help and he ends up doing all the coaching which even though it's not what we intended, it is much better off this way! So here are some pictures of our future soccer star:

Bailee is also quite the soccer fan. She loves to dribble and LOVES to cheer on her big sister, it's pretty cute!

It took her quite a while to actually get into this position. She must have fell off the ball ten times before she got it to stop moving, she was pretty proud.

San Diego Zoo Trip

Well a couple of months ago Seth had to go to San Diego for a conference for work so we decided to make it a family trip since the hotel was paid for...it was a quick trip so we only had time to go to San Diego Zoo, I wanted to go to Sea World but we found tickets on Craigslist for the zoo for half the price so we decided to go there instead. The girls LOVED it! They are both kind of like animals so when Maddie asked where we were going on told her to see her other siblings...she didn't really get the joke but seriously she pretends to be an animal ALL the time! It's pretty funny.

One of Maddie's favorite parts of the trip was seeing the big cats.

This week Maddie started Kindergarten. I wasn't sure how it was going to go when we dropped her off because she kept saying how she was a little nervous...Needless to say she was fine! As soon as she saw the playground she was happy as she could be. Now when I drop her off I let her just get out of the car and run up all by herself and she thinks she's pretty awesome! When I went to pick her up after the first day and I asked her how it went she couldn't stop saying how BORING it was, looks like it's going to be a LONG few years for her, haha!

New Shoes

I took Maddie shopping for her new school shoes last week, and she insisted that we get these shoes. I have always hesitated to get shoes with ties because then I have to tie them, I know totally lazy! So I told her you can't wear ties to kindergarten unless you know how to tie them. So she said she would learn, and she actually did. It was pretty amazing, she learned fairly quick and most importantly I don't have to tie them, haha!

Duck Creek Camping Trip

Two weeks ago we decided to go on a family camping trip to Duck Creek. It was SO nice to get out of the heat of Las Vegas for a weekend! The kids all LOVED it. Everyday in Vegas Maddie asks me, mom, when is this weather going to end?! She is sick of the heat just like all the rest of us. Needless to say the weather was so great. It rained a little bit but was welcomed by all of us who came from the extreme heat! Warning: there are a lot of pictures, sorry...

Maddie's 5th Birthday!

This year Maddie turned five years old. I still can't believe it! It's amazing how time flies. She is going to be going to kindergarten this year and we're all pretty excited about that, haha! She is such a big helper with her little sister...although she is five so she definately has her moments! We love you Maddie!

4th of July

Most of the family came down for the 4th of July this year. It was SO hot. The kids had fun, and the adults were pretty miserable. I was so annoyed because every year at the summerlin parade they throw tons of candy which as we all know is the best part of the parade...well this year they told everyone in the parade that they weren't allowed to throw candy, what?!!! So the kids were pretty bummed about that as you can imagine!

Well Seth is still licking his wounds, haha. He was really hoping for a boy but he is excited about having another girl. I thought I was going to be done at three and I still think I am but I kind of feel bad for Seth not having a boy to pal around with. After three girls though it starts getting a little risky to go for number four!!! Four girls would be SCARY!!! They did move my due date up a few days to November 11, yay! So that means I probably will have her around November 18th if things go as they have for the previous two. Although it would be nice to have one come on time or maybe a little early but trust me I'm not getting my hopes up.

Although this picture was taken just earlier this year our sweet little Bailee has sure changed...a lot! She is quite the independent woman. She is a joy in our lives but she can be quite the challenge at times!

Here are some pictures of Bailee with her new found independence. I don't know how she's developed such a strong personality because for the most part I would say that Seth and I are both pretty mellow but this little one packs quite a punch, literally! Disneyland 2010

Bailee LOVED this way to over-animated dancer it was hilarious!

We participated in the Disney-Give a day get a disney day, so we decided to take the girls to Disneyland. I was a little nervous for one I was still pretty sick from morning sickness, and for two the girls are great most of the time but lets just be honest...they have their moments!! I was nervous for the moments. Needless to say Maddie and Bailee were both fabulous. We didn't have any serious meltdowns which I will count as victorious! Hopefully we'll get to go back soon. It was so much fun. Here are some of the pictures.

Maddie's Preschool Graduation

This past year Maddie went to preschool and at the end of May they held a preschool graduation. I can't believe she's going to be in Kindergarten next year!!! I'm sure she will LOVE it even though it will probably take some getting used to just as preschool did. Here are the pictures sorry they are so bad I'm not sure WHAT happened but I wasn't pleased when I saw how bad they turned out!

Bailee's 1st Birthday Party

My little Bailee turned one a couple of weeks ago. How time flies! Maybe it's because she's still so little that she doesn't seem like she's one yet. Everytime I set her down in public and she starts walking people kind of freak out because she still looks SO small. It's pretty funny! At her one year check: weight: 16lbs...not even on the chart anymore. Last time she was 3-5% and she dropped off this time. We've got to get her to gain some weight. Please send me any ideas!!! We sure LOVE this girl and are so glad to have her in our family!

Maddies Soccer Team

This year was Maddie's first experience playing on a soccer team...here's the thing, she is SO good when she plays at home with Seth and I but, when she gets out there on the field with the other kids she just runs around timid and falls down randomly. She is so funny! There is still hope that she will be our little soccer star like we dream of, haha, but for now I think she's more interested in the butterflies and flowers. Here's some pictures of the team and Seth who initially volunteered me to be the coach but it was to hard with Bailee, so he ended up doing it and the kids loved him!

Valentine's Day

Valentines day kind of changes once you have little kids and this year for Valentine's day we went to my brother and sister-in-law's house and the kids made a restaurant for us and my parents. It was really cute and the kids were loving being the waiters and bringing us our food. Maddie kept calling everyone Sir or Mam, it was really funny!

I can't believe how time goes by SO FAST! Next month Bailee will be one year old and it seems like we just brought her home from the hospital. I NEVER thought I would get another girl with as much attitude as her older sister had when she was a baby but...turns out she has way more attitude than her older sister had at this age. She is SO much fun. Bailee is very curious and gets into everything. This one has been very fast developmentally and so I haven't got much rest since she was born. She started walking in the past couple of weeks and she is SO excited to go exploring and follow her big sister around the house. I have every door, cupboard and drawer on lockdown at all times because she LOVES to pull everything out. Last week she figured out how to climb on top of her sisters bed so I can't leave her room open anymore, which I like to leave open because all the toys are in there. I think Seth and I are going to be in serious trouble in a few years! Oh well, I wouldn't trade anything in the world for either of our girls they make our lives so much fun!

Christmas 2009

This Christmas started off a little crazy. My dad had to go into the hospital the Monday before Christmas because he was having a REALLY hard time breathing. Turns out he had had a blood clot in his leg that moved to his lungs. It was VERY scary! On Christmas we brought all the grandkids to see him, even though there wasn't supposed to be any kids on his floor, the nurses let it slide because it was Christmas...We love our dad and grandpa and are so glad that he is feeling a little better! Thanksgiving/Christmas

Well I hope that everyone has had a great holiday season! We have had so much fun spending time with family and friends. I have been such a slack a** when it comes to posting my pictures lately and it finally came back to bite me in the butt. I finally decided to upload my pictures from Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years to update our blog when all of a sudden my pictures disappear off my camera...I was furious! I had SO many memories on my camera. I was really mad because it was Bailee's first Christmas. I have sent my camera to Best Buy and they will hopefully figure out what went wrong. So when and if I am able to salvage those pictures I will post them but as for now you just get this lamo message. Happy New Year!!

This year we went to my brother Alan's house for Halloween. We had soup with bread bowls and homemade scones with hot chocolate, and of course we weren't lacking in candy. We had lots of fun and the kids got plenty of candy.

Bailee turns 8-months old this week. She has been such a fun addition to our family. She has such a lively spirit. I can only imagine what she is going to be like once she starts walking...scary!

We went to Legoland with Seth's brother Gordon and his family back in the beginning of October. I've just been slacking. We had tons of fun with them and can't wait until they come see us again next year!

Maddie's First Day of Preschool

So for preschool on Friday I asked Maddie if I could do her hair, and she actually let me! As some of you may know that is a MAJOR breakthrough. She barely lets me brush her hair, let alone put something in it. She looked so cute with her hair done up.

Maddie started preschool on Monday. I knew she was going to have a hard time when it was time for me to leave, and she did...I thought by Friday she would be doing better, but turns out Friday was the worst day yet. Hopefully Monday she'll start warming up to the idea of leaving me for a whole TWO hours. I love her, my little drama queen!

Labor Day Weekend

When to visit Grandma and Grandpa Fowlkes in St. George on Saturday for Labor Day. It was good to see them. We took the kids to the city pool, they of course loved it. I wasn't sure if Bailee would like it but she had tons of fun!

Friday Night Soccer

So we started playing soccer a few months ago, Bailee was about 2 months old, that literally about killed me because I was SO out of shape from having Bailee not to mention before I was even pregnant I hadn't played soccer in probably five years...sad I know. Any way we play co-ed 8 v8 soccer every Friday night. We have a team that is full of our friends. It is so fun and it's something to look forward to on the weekend.

You can tell I'm still pretty out of shape, so sweaty!

Bailee will be six months next week. She keeps on amazing me. Bailee can now sit up un-assisted as well as sit herself up from scooting around. Bailee has also started doing this funny little face where she makes her mouth almost disappear she makes it so small, it looks pretty funny.

Maddie's 4th Birthday, and more...

Maddie turned 4 this month, and she wanted to have a Lion King party but when we went to Target they didn't have Lion King stuff so the first thing she saw was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so that's what she decided she wanted. She loved it and that's all that matters!

Bailee at four months with Seth. About Bailee: she started rolling over at 2 1/2 months. She was scooting very slowly at 3 months, and now at 4 months, she pretty much gets wherever she wants to go. She's getting close to crawling, I just want to know what I did to deserve this! I can't complain too much she has been a GREAT baby!

Bailee thinks Maddie is the coolest thing, whenever she walks into the room Bailee instantly smiles. It is pretty cute to watch them play together!

So at Bailee's two-month check up I told the doctor that she had been having this little cough in the morning and at night, literally maybe like 5-10 coughs. I didn't think it was even a big deal but I decided to tell him about it anyway. Turns out he said it could be three things, RSV, a cough or asthma! I guess when he listened to her lungs he could hear some wheezing which is never good. So now we get to do these FUN nebulizer treatments 3-4 times a day, boy does she love it ;). Hope she gets better soon!!

We went to this really cool light show in Ogden, I think they do it at a campground and you just drive around all the loops as many times as you want. Maddie really liked it especially all the Disney characters.

Ogden got a couple huge storms while we were visiting so we took Maddie sledding at one of the parks, I decided to go down the hill once, that was interesting at 7 1/2 months pregnant!

There is lots of food, music, and some fun stuff

for the kids to do. We had lots of fun!
